Frida · Perineal Foam
Perineal Foam
A witch hazel foam for the tender early days after a vaginal birth. Spray it onto your pad or a cooling liner for a cool, fresh feeling. It stays on the pad rather than in it, so it works at every change.
How to use
- Shake, then pump onto the pad or cooling liner.
- Use at every pad change, or whenever you want a cooling moment.
Good to know
- Step five of the Frida Mom five-step postpartum routine.
- For external use. Free on Frida Mom orders over $150.

Step by step
How to use the Perineal Foam
Rinse first
Use the peri bottle with warm water after every toilet visit, then pat dry. No wiping.
Lay the liner on the pad
Place a cooling liner along your maternity pad, front to back, if you are using them.
One pump on the liner
Pump the foam onto the liner, or straight onto the pad. It stays where you put it instead of soaking away.
Change with every pad
Repeat at each pad change, four to six times a day in the early days.
Keep it in the fridge
Cold foam feels even better in the first week. Store it in the fridge door.
How the foam and liners work together
Both use witch hazel. They do different jobs.
The liner
A pre-soaked sheet that lies along the whole pad for front-to-back cooling comfort. Change it with every pad.
The foam
Targeted. One pump where you want it most, including postpartum haemorrhoids. Absorbs into the skin rather than the pad.
Together
Liner first, foam on top. This is the routine in the Recovery Kit and the Labour & Delivery Kit.
Goes with it
Often bought together
