Frida · Postpartum Underwear
High Waist Disposable Underwear
High-waisted for a reason. The waistband sits above a c-section incision without pressure, the soft stretch fabric fits a post-birth body comfortably, and the cut holds a maxi pad and ice pad in place. Wear them, then bin them.
Good to know
- Chosen for c-section recovery, or for anyone who prefers more coverage in the first weeks.
- Also works after a vaginal birth. If you are unsure which cut to choose, high waist is the more versatile option.
- Step two of the Frida Mom five-step postpartum routine.
- One size fits most. Pack of 8. Single use.

How to measure: Measure around your waist where the band will sit. These are high waisted, so postpartum that is usually up near the belly button rather than your natural waist.
A note for new mums: Your postpartum belly is larger than your usual waist in the early weeks, and these are often worn over a maxi pad, so allow a little extra room when comparing against the chart. AU dress sizes are a guide only.

Boyshort or high waist?
Two cuts. The difference is where the waistband sits.
Boyshort
Sits at the natural waist with a wider leg. The everyday cut for vaginal birth recovery.
High waist
A taller band that clears a caesarean incision from day one. Also fine after a vaginal birth if you prefer more coverage.
How many pairs
Two to four changes a day in the first 48 hours, fewer after that. One pack of eight covers two to four days of the heaviest bleeding.
