$21.993-in-1 Nose, Nail & Ear Picker

Four tips, four jobs

One handle, four tips, all with safety stoppers.

Nose tip

For the dried, crusty bits the NoseFrida cannot move. The scoop sits just inside the nostril opening and the stopper keeps it there.

Nail tip

Lint, milk and general newborn grit under tiny nails. Cleans out what a wipe cannot reach.

Ear tip

Visible wax at the outer ear only. Never inside the ear canal. The stopper is there for exactly that reason.

Utility tip

Belly button fluff, neck rolls, between toes. The everything-else tip.

How to use the 3-in-1 Picker

Step by step

How to use the 3-in-1 Picker

1

Pick the tip and click it on

Colour-coded, and they click into the handle. Use each tip only for its job.

2

After a warm bath is easiest

Steam softens dried mucus and wax, so it lifts with less effort and less protest.

3

Steady the head

Rest your hand against your baby's cheek so the picker moves with them if they turn.

4

A light scoop, never deep

The stoppers stop the tip going too far. Scoop gently outward. If it does not come easily, leave it for another day.

5

Wash and store

Rinse the tips in warm soapy water, dry, and keep them in the case so you can find the right one at 2am.

Wet or dry?

Two tools, two different nose situations.

Wet: the NoseFrida

Runny, liquid mucus during a cold. Saline first, then gentle parent-powered suction. Read the NoseFrida guide for the technique.

Dry: the Picker

Crusty, dried bits at the nostril opening, especially after the cold has passed. A light scoop with the nose tip, ideally after a bath.

A note on cotton buds

Put the cotton bud down.

Australian paediatric guidance does not recommend cotton buds for cleaning a baby's ears or nose. They push wax and mucus further in, and a wriggle at the wrong moment can hurt. Every Picker tip has a stopper so it cannot go too deep, and the ear tip is for the outer ear only.

If your baby has a smelly ear, discharge, or seems to be in pain, that needs a GP, not a tool.

About this product

What is the difference between the Picker and the NoseFrida?

The NoseFrida uses suction for wet, liquid mucus during a cold. The Picker handles dry, crusty bits at the nostril opening, plus nails, outer ears and creases. Most families end up with both.

Is the ear tip suitable for a baby?

Yes, for visible wax at the outer ear only. It is not for inside the ear canal. Ear pain, discharge or a smell needs a GP.

When is the best time to use it?

After a warm bath, when dried mucus and wax are softer. A sleepy, fed baby is easier than a hungry one.

Is it suitable for newborns?

Yes. The tips are sized for a newborn face and every tip has a stopper that prevents it going too deep.

How do I clean it?

Warm soapy water after each use, air dry, back in the case. Check the tips for wear before use.

What is in the box?

One handle, four colour-coded tips (nose, nail, ear and utility) and a storage case.
