Used in hospital maternity wards

Safe for vaginal birth & c-section recovery

The peri bottle is the postpartum essential nobody puts on the registry and then every new mum wonders how she ever lived without one.

Fill it with warm water and use it to rinse after going to the loo. The angled nozzle means you can actually reach without contorting yourself after a birth. Revolutionary? Almost.

Trust us, your vagina will thank you.

Warm water. Right angle. No hand in the toilet. Just relief when you need it most.

The hospital gives you one of these. It's not great.

Every Australian maternity ward sends new mums home with a basic squirt bottle for perineal care. You're meant to fill it with water and rinse after using the loo. In theory, good idea. In practice, you're trying to aim a right-way-up bottle at a downward area while sitting on a toilet three days postpartum, which involves either putting your hand in the toilet or giving up entirely.

The Frida Mom Peri Bottle fixes this with one simple design change: it works upside down. The angled neck directs a gentle, continuous stream exactly where you need it, hands stay out of the toilet, and you don't have to contort yourself to get the angle right.

It sounds like a small thing. It is not a small thing.

Why this one. Not the hospital one.

    • Upside-down design

Holds and flows inverted so you never have to reach past the toilet rim. No hand-in-toilet. Ever.

    • Angled neck

The narrow, precision-angled tip directs water exactly where you need it — without awkward repositioning.

    • Gentle continuous stream

Easy one-handed squeeze delivers a steady, controlled flow. No sudden blasts. Just relief.

    • 295ml capacity

Enough water for a full rinse without having to refill mid-trip. You're welcome.

    • C-section safe

Cleans gently without any pressure on incision sites or surrounding soreness during recovery.

    • Waterproof travel bag included

Pack it in your hospital bag. Use it at home. Take it anywhere. Comes with its own storage pouch.

How to use your Peri Bottle

    1. Fill it up. Unscrew the top and fill the bottle with warm water. For extra soothing relief, add 1–2 drops of witch hazel. Screw the cap back on firmly.
    2. Invert the bottle.Turn it upside down and place one finger over the valve on the nozzle to stop the flow until you're ready.
    3. Position and release. Sit on the toilet and position the angled tip toward the perineal area. Remove your finger from the valve to start the flow.
    4. Squeeze gently. Apply light pressure to the bottle for a gentle, continuous stream. Repeat as needed. Pat dry with a clean soft cloth, don't wipe.

Not just for right after birth

    VAGINAL BIRTH RECOVERY

For perineal tears, episiotomy stitches, and general soreness. Rinsing with water is gentler and more hygienic than toilet paper on healing tissue.

    C-SECTION RECOVERY

Gentle cleaning without bending or putting pressure near the incision site. Helpful during the limited-mobility early recovery period.

    POSTPARTUM HAEMORRHOIDS

Common after birth and extremely uncomfortable with dry wiping. Warm water rinsing provides immediate relief.

    EVERYDAY INTIMATE HYGIENE

Use it during your period, in warm weather, or whenever a water rinse is preferable to dry toilet paper. It's essentially a personal bidet.

    Questions? We've got answers.

When should I start using the peri bottle after birth?

Start from your very first toilet trip after delivery — whether you're still in hospital or at home. The sooner you start rinsing rather than wiping, the more comfortable your early recovery will be.

Can I use the peri bottle after a c-section?

Yes. While the peri bottle is primarily recommended for perineal care after vaginal birth, many c-section mums find it helpful for general postpartum hygiene. The gentle flow means no pressure near incision sites. Always follow your obstetrician or midwife's specific recovery guidance.

What should I put in the peri bottle?

Warm water is all you need. For extra soothing relief, you can add 1–2 drops of witch hazel — it has natural anti-inflammatory properties that many new mums find helpful. Don't add anything else unless recommended by your healthcare provider.

How do I clean the peri bottle?

Disassemble after each use and rinse thoroughly with warm soapy water. Allow to air dry fully before reassembling. Clean it properly — this is a postpartum care tool and hygiene matters during recovery.

How long will I need to use it?

Most mums use it regularly for the first two to four weeks postpartum while healing is ongoing. Many keep using it longer for general hygiene — it's genuinely a useful everyday tool well beyond the recovery period.
