The witch hazel that actually stays put.
Liquid witch hazel soaks into the pad. Foam stays exactly where you spray it, on your skin, not the fabric. That is the whole idea.

Why foam? Because you want it where it counts, not in the pad.
Traditional witch hazel products come as a liquid, either a spray or a toner you dab on with a cotton pad. The trouble is, when you apply a liquid to a pad, most of it soaks straight into the pad fibres rather than staying where you actually want it.
Foam changes that. The Frida Mom Perineal Foam has a light mousse texture that sits on top of a pad or liner rather than sinking through it. When you put the pad on, the foam stays in contact with your skin and brings the cool, fresh witch hazel feeling exactly where you want it.
One pump per pad change. Cool and fresh in seconds. The little step that makes the whole routine feel like it is doing its job.
Six reasons the foam earns its place in the stack.
-
Foam stays where you put it
Unlike liquid witch hazel that soaks into the pad, foam sits on top and stays against your skin. The good stuff goes to the right place every time.
-
A generous amount of witch hazel
A proper concentration, not a token splash in a mostly water formula.
-
Cool on contact
Fresh and cooling the moment it touches your skin. For an extra cold hit, pop the bottle in the fridge. Cold foam in those early days is one of life's small mercies.
-
One pump, full coverage
Front to back in a single pump, quick and easy, even one-handed.
-
No harsh extras
No artificial colours, no added perfume, no heavy alcohol. Just a short, gentle ingredient list.
-
Easy pump dispenser
One-handed operation, one pump per pad change. Designed to be used while you are sitting on the loo if you need to, because postpartum dignity deserves better than awkward yoga poses.

How to use your Perineal Foam
One pump. Thirty seconds. Every pad change. That is the whole routine.
- Cleanse first.
Use your Frida Mom Peri Bottle to rinse with warm water after using the loo. Pat gently dry, do not wipe. - Place your pad or liner
Put your cooling pad liner on top of a fresh maxi pad as usual. - Pump one to two times onto the liner
Dispense straight onto the pad liner or pad surface. The foam sits on top rather than soaking through, which is exactly what you want. - Pull on your underwear
The foam stays in place as the liner settles against your skin. Cool and fresh on contact. - Repeat with every pad change
One to two pumps per change, as often as you like throughout the day.

Made for the early days after birth
Nobody really prepares you for how everything feels in those first days and weeks. This is a small, simple step you can fold into your routine, a cool, fresh moment every time you change your pad. Use it as often as you like. Keep it by the loo, keep one in your hospital bag, keep a spare in the nappy bag.
If you have stitches, broken skin, or any concerns at all, check with your midwife, GP or obstetrician before using it.
Questions? We've got answers.
How is the foam different from the cooling pad liners?
They both use witch hazel, but they work differently and pair well together. The cooling pad liner is a pre-soaked sheet that lays flat across your whole pad for broad, front to back coverage, and you swap it with every pad. The foam is pumped directly onto the pad or liner for a more targeted application, and because it is foam rather than liquid, it stays on your skin instead of soaking into the pad. Used together you get the most complete cooling routine.
Can I use the foam directly on my skin rather than on the pad?
Yes, plenty of mums prefer it that way. Apply a small amount to a clean piece of soft toilet paper or a cotton pad and dab it on gently. Avoid rubbing, and cleanse first with your peri bottle. If you have stitches or broken skin, check with your midwife before applying directly.
Will it sting or feel harsh?
It is made without added fragrance, dyes, or heavy alcohol, and has a short, gentle ingredient list, so it is designed to feel cool and fresh rather than harsh. As with any product, if your skin does not like it, stop using it.
How long will one bottle last?
At one to two pumps per pad change, and changing pads four to six times a day in the early days, one 150ml bottle usually lasts around seven to fourteen days. Most mums reach for it most in the first week, then less often as the days go on. Grabbing two is a safe move if you would rather not run out.
